OP Jenkins Furniture Store - Treasure Within a Treasure

I had the neatest experience shopping for office furnture for The Bridal Suite.  I'll admit it, I'm a West Knoxville kind of girl.  Everything I could possibly need is on Kingston Pike.  In fact, other than weddings, which cause me to drive all over creation, I rarely have the need or desire to venture downtown.

Well, one store has changed all that.  Stacy and I covered West Knoxville last week in search of furniture for The Bridal Suite.  We found things that would work and some were better than others, but nothing made our hearts soar.

At my friend Amy's urging, we visited OP Jenkins on Summit Hill Dr, and I immediately fell in love.  I loved the little parking area out front, the nostalgic vintage sign, the old wooden floors & especially the old fashioned elevator with the metal grate door.  Interior Designer, Barrie Fisher, took us to floor after floor of beautiful and unique furnishings as we tried out chairs and sofas and oohed and aahed over pieces we didn't need, but wanted anyway.

That night, I lay awake in bed as visions of furniture danced in my head.  That's OK though, I'm going back today to make my final decision.  Can't wait to see what my fabric options are - I'm so excited!

Announcing: The Bridal Suite!

It's official! The Bridal Suite, a planning studio which features Knoxville's top wedding vendors, is opening in Farragut! We'll occupy space in a wing attached to one of Farragut's historic homes, turned office building.  One our favorite photographers, Waldorf Photographic Art, will occupy the other end of the hallway - two separate businesses in one terrific location.  We're visible from Kingston Pike near the Farragut schools, which means I'm only five minutes from home!
Just check out the "back" of our wing, which will actually be the entrance. We'll be on the second floor and I'm so excited about the walkout balcony, which is large enough for a table and chairs. I'll definitely be hanging out there when the weather is beautiful.

I'll save other interior pics for when the space is decorated (or at least in the process), but I can't resist showing the fireplace as a charming hint of what is to come! We take possession on September 1, and hope to be open for business by October 1!
